Invoices, packing slips and delivery slips

Three documents, three jobs. Printing the wrong one is the most common mistake here, so it is worth learning which is which.

Where to print from

One order — open it and use the buttons at the top of the page, or use the menu on its row in the order list.

Many orders at once — tick the rows in the order list and use Invoice, Packing Slip or Delivery Slip in the blue bar. All the selected orders come out as one document with a page break between each, so you can send fifty packing slips to the printer as a single job.

Plan note: bulk printing is a paid feature on some plans. Printing one at a time always works.

What is on each one

Invoice — your logo, shop address, phone and web address; the customer’s billing details; a line per item with SKU, unit price, discount, quantity and line total; then subtotal, shipping charge, discount, total, paid and due. If a coupon was used, it is named. Amounts are in taka.

Packing Slip — logo, order number, ship-to address, and a table of item, SKU and quantity with a total item count. Prices are deliberately left off, so you can put it in the box without showing what the customer paid to anyone who opens it. The order note, if there is one, prints at the bottom.

Delivery Slip — a From box (you) and a Deliver To box (the customer), the courier name, total items, payment method, and Amount to Collect in large type, plus sender and receiver signature lines. The amount to collect is the order’s due amount, so a prepaid order correctly shows ৳0.

How printing works

Any print button opens a new browser window, sends it to the printer, and closes it again. Nothing is downloaded.

Two consequences:

  • Your browser must allow pop-ups for the dashboard. If nothing happens when you click print, this is why — look for the blocked-popup icon in the address bar.
  • Choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog if you want to email it rather than print it.

Getting your details on the documents

Logo, shop name, address and phone all come from your shop settings. If your invoice header is blank, that is where to fix it — not here.

The web address printed on the invoice is your custom domain if you have connected one, otherwise your yourshop. address.

Common problems

“Nothing happens when I click Print.” Pop-ups are blocked. Allow them for the dashboard and try again.

“My logo is missing.” No logo uploaded in shop settings. The shop name is printed as text instead.

“The packing slip has no prices.” That is intentional — use the invoice if you want prices on paper.

“Amount to Collect shows ৳0 on a Cash on Delivery order.” The order is marked paid. Check the payment status on the order.

“The pages are the wrong size.” Invoices are A4 and slips are A5, set by the document itself. If your printer disagrees, change the paper size in the print dialog.
